Description

About me

My name is André Vock and I'm a Swiss living in Milton Keynes, United Kingdom, since November 2007. I'm a Web Developer and worked as 3d Designer and Technical Customer Support as well.

Until October 2007 I was working as Technical Sales Support with Ericsson Internet Payment eXchanche AB (IPX) in Stockholm. In this position I am the first point of technical contact for our business customers in Germany and the Netherlands. I support the customers when implementing their mobile services towards the IPX system and manage the technical relationship with the client after the launch. I work closely with the local sales organisation and interact with the network carriers regarding approvals for new WAP and SMS services.

As a sideline activity I work since 2001 self-employed as web designer. Thanks to my Web Designer training I started to work with web standard. Meanwhile I use the advantage of XHTML and CSS to program well structured web documents. Apart from the separation of content and presentation, I always have an eye open for accessibility and usability.

Until December 2004 I worked with Mathys Partner in Zurich. Mainly for architecture I realised visualisations and animations. During this time, I worked as project manager or as part of the team on over 100 projects, from the single family house up to the city development. Key projects were, among others, the visualisations for Santiago Calatravas World Trade Center Transportation Hub at Ground Zero in New York City or the animation for the new soccer stadium Hardturm for the European Championship 2008 in Zurich.
