Jack Williamson, CFO
Jack is a strategic thinker with 20 years of experience in finance and operations for startup and high-growth companies. He also has a successful track record of team building and hands-on management that have served AboutUs well since he joined us in 2008. When he’s not at work, Jack is in the fields photographing birds. Have you seen the movie, “The Big Year”? Yeah, that’s Jack.
Blake Biesecker, CTO
Blake served as Chief Architect at SnapNames, and then at Oversee.net after SnapNames was sold. From there, he led the technical implementation at SecondPorch.com and the following integration with HomeAway.com. Blake then joined AboutUs in late 2011. He began his career as a Smalltalker and is now a recovering Java architect learning the joys of Ruby and Rails. A subscriber to Agile and Lean methodologies, Blake serves as project manager, lead architect, and chief caffeination officer. In his spare time, Blake collects fine wines and makes his own charcuterie.
Kristina Weis, Director of Marketing
Kristina joined AboutUs in its infancy back in 2007. She has worked in many essential roles – like sales, customer service, and writing – and is now Director of Marketing. She writes for the AboutUs blog, sends our weekly email with digital marketing tips, mans our own Facebook and Twitter accounts, and helps our clients with their social media and digital marketing strategy. When she’s not in the office, Kristina’s probably at home snuggling her cats, or out hiking, rafting or dancing.

John Guenin, Senior Developer
An accomplished software engineer specializing in Ruby, web, and iOS development, John joined the AboutUs team in early 2012. John is passionate about user experience, clean code, and data collection. An avid cyclist, John’s iPhone app, Bike Maps, can be found in the iTunes App Store. John also enjoys gardening and brewing beer with his own distinct recipes.
Brandon Sanders, Senior Developer
Brandon joined AboutUs in the early days, and helped architect the technical foundation for the company’s main web presence at the time, AboutUs.org. He also formulated and helmed AboutUs’s software development efforts until late 2010. After some time pursuing other passions, Brandon is back on the team! In addition to his work at AboutUs, Brandon acts as Executive Director of the Awakening Science Foundation. He’s an outer space enthusiast who also enjoys playing Go and windsurfing.
Luke Larsen, Customer Success Rep
Luke has an eye for good design and a heart for seeing businesses grow through their online marketing strategy. He believes in the power of smart social media strategies and their ability to completely change the face of a business. Before joining the AboutUs team, Luke was a freelance journalist in the pop culture scene. So when he’s not writing blog posts, running Twitter accounts, and building websites, he’s probably criticizing the newest indie music release or trying to convince people that video games aren’t kitschy in his contributions to numerous pop culture publications.
Noel Torres, Customer Success Rep
Originally from Hawaii, Noel moved to Southern Oregon in 2007, where he graduated with his Bachelors of Science in Computer Information Science and minor in Philosophy. After a year of work in Ashland he relocated to Portland where Noel dedicates most of his time designing WordPress websites, playing around in Adobe CS, and helping clients improve their online presence. On his free time, Noel loves wasting time reading/listening to anything that is philosophically entertaining and hitting the occasional round of golf.
Augusta Nissly, Customer Success Rep
Augusta considers social media to be just as important as breathing. Aside from Facebook, she can get lost on Pinterest for hours and is constantly sharing creative content. At AboutUs she develops successful social media plans, designs sleek web sites and produces blog content. She is passionate about connecting with her clients and is devoted to their online progress. When she’s not working, Augusta is researching and constructing projects for her personal DIY blog and hunting for fashionable conversation pieces.

Asad Butt, Customer Support
Main editor of AboutUs.org, AboutUs’s wiki directory of websites, Asad excels at teaching and writing. Nobody explains the ways of the internet like Asad! In addition to his work for AboutUs, Asad is an editor and contributing writer for GEN-Y Magazine and MyPRGenie. When he isn’t at work, Asad enjoys playing cricket and chess, and going to the movies. He’s also known to whip up a delicious meal from time to time.
Karen Zaganiacz, Office Manager
Karen does it all: Bookkeeping, payroll, benefits administration, human resources, and everything in between. With years of bookkeeping and accounting experience, Karen keeps us compliant. She also helps care for our office environment, ensuring things run smoothly. Occasionally Karen will bring in her latest quilting project to share, much to everyone’s delight! She also plays the bassoon in the Oregon Symphonic Band.
