Zitku - Internet Analysis and Directory from ODP Data
Zitku is an ODP data based search directory. The project uses ODP data and stores them into a highly compressed database. The Zitku crawler then crawls each of those website to generate demographical reports for webmasters.
Webmasters can view all analysis reports about their websites after proving ownership of the website through an automated process.
Zitku currently performs analysis reports for less than 80,000 websites.
Zitku Directory and Search
Zitku is a Internet directory that uses ODP data. The following information is added to a website entry apart from the information received from the ODP.

All of the above items currently in their beta are available for 80,000 volunteer websites. Zitku also runs a internet crawler that collects stores internet pages. Zitku is one of the first internet search & analysis projects supported jointly by the Indian IT ministry and Delhi University.
Sitemaps
Sitemap Generator is a scheduled automated web crawler tool that generates a hierarchically oriented sitemap of any website based on the internal linking within the website. The sitemap tool automatically detects pages of higher importance within a website and places them strategically higher in the depth chart of the website sitemap.
The Zitku web crawler uses servers at the Delhi University to store sitemaps in a highly compressed format.
Rankings
Rankings does not perform any analysis of its own instead it relies on other popular free / redistributable sources of ranking data and uses that to display the ranking of a website on the directory.
Webmaster Tools
Webmaster tools is a set of tools meant only for the webmasters of a website. These tools enable the webmasters to perform the following tasks
- Read advice from zitku website analyzer about their website
- Read detailed reports on the website including popularity, security issues detected, traffic analysis.
- Generate RORs, XMLs, Google Sitemap files under a pre-programmed "schedule".
Auto-semantic link builder(Alpha)(ASLB)
- ALB is a tool that maintains a massive database(70 million records as on March, 01, 2007) of internet webpages. These webpages are analyzed on the basis of the "readable content within that page". The ASLB crawler reads these pages and extracts key information from the pages and stores them.
- The ASLB is currently being alpha tested on 80,000 websites. The alpha testing websites use the ALB link feeder on their website to print "semantically useful links" on a page. The same process is repeated for all 30 million pages to create a semantically linked network of webpages. The links to be displayed on a page are not calculated live instead they are calculated once in a month and then published for a month.
ASLB development
ASLB is currently being developed by a private group of 20 developers and the source code is not publically available as of now. The ASLB should be released under GPL by August, 2008.
Uptime Graphs
Uptime graphs is a distributed utility that detects downtime of a server from over 50,000 locations on the internet on an interval of 15 minutes.
A change in uptime/downtime is instantly communicated to webmasters through an email.
Zitku Traffic Analysis tool
Zitku Analysis is a webbased script that can be installed in a website and this script will collect all information about this website and display it on the directory in a demographical format. A beta version of this script is currently being tested on 80,000 websites.

- I think this definitely has potential as a featured wiki article. I wish there were a logo for this website, but there doesn't appear to be one. Having an image just helps improve the look of the article, if not the quality.
