Washington Technology Industry Association is the largest statewide association of technology companies and executives in the world. The Association's purpose is to set up new industry directions, share expertise, foster collaborations, deliver key business services and advance the economic value and global impact of technology companies. The Association also provides education and training, a Group Purchasing Cooperative, promotion of technology interests and the latest industry news.

Companies engaged in the development of technology in Washington state including:

IT dept’s within large non-technology companies
Emerging technologies

This type of membership is for non-technology businesses, educational organizations, government agencies and companies that support the technology industry which are not eligible for Industry membership. This includes technology firms whose development activities take place outside the Washington state.

IT Departments of non-technology companies come under this type of membership. IT Department membership is limited to employees of the IT Department only.

This category is available for individuals who wish to keep informed about and involved with the technology industry.

Member Benefits and Services

Washington Technology Industry Association events, programs and communities are designed to help members network with peers and exchange ideas with other professionals. Face-to-face events and online forums are also available to build business relationships, share expertise and advise other company leaders.

Washington Technology Industry Association helps companies build brand awareness and enhance corporate goodwill among the state’s leading technology companies. By becoming an active participant and an expert in Washington’s technology community is a great way to improve a company's visibility and credibility as a company and a corporate citizen.

Members have access to business resources which includes expert opinions, news and analysis on the technology industry. There is a monthly membership magazine, an annual salary survey, and other publications relevant to the technology industry available to members.

Washington Technology Industry Association works strategically with government, education and community leaders to create and enhance a positive climate for technology companies and to raise the regional, national and international profile of Washington’s thriving technology industry.

The Group Purchasing Cooperative allows a member to buy lower-cost business services through a volume-buying discount. Pricing, packaging and services negotiated on behalf of the entire Washington Technology Industry Association membership base allows members to benefit from aggregate purchasing power. Members can therefore receive low-cost services such as health and business insurance, telecommunications, payroll and investment services and office supplies.

Employees of member companies get discounts on dinner meetings, special programs and social events that provide networking opportunities. Also available is access to Special Interest Groups (SIGs) to learn from presentations and exchanges with experts and peers. Discounts on educational courses are also available.
