We blog about anything related to disability rights, wheelchairs, mobility scooters and different kinds of technology to help improve the lives of people with disabilities.
We believe that people with disabilities should be treated like people first. This may seem obvious to many but this is rarely the case. While physical access for wheelchair users is improving dramatically, other barriers to equality in society remain. The problem is at all levels of society from the Television Producer who will cast an able-bodied actor to play the role of a disabled character to the politician who does not have a disabled advisor on their staff.
Although people with disabilities are the 3rd largest minority group, it is most discriminated minority group. Don't believe it? How many famous wheelchair users can you name?
