Harddisk Mass Order Scam

In March 2008, several dozen VRForums members fell into a “Raptor Mass Order” scam. Money was transferred to the point-of-contact but the collection of the Velociraptor Hard Disk Drive never materialized.

VR-Zone conducted its own investigation and unveiled a potential scamming case. A police report was filed and an illegal over stayer Johnson Plant was arrest Template:citeweb . The deposits for the Velociraptors Hard Drive was not recovered.

Mas Selamat Saga

VRForums also attracted media and authorities attention during the Mas Selamat saga. VRForums member AS1 [discussed the possibility of a jailbreak] before the escape of Mas Selamat was announced by Ministry of Home Affairs (Singapore).
