I grew up in Britain in a town called Rochdale near Manchester and worked in Primary Schools as an English as a second language teacher for a few years before moving to Turkey to work in Ankara's Bilkent University School of English Language. After that I wandered around for a few years working in Pakistan, Spain and Tunisia before finally settling in Pakistan about six years ago.

I have a seven year old daughter (her birthday was on 8 August), who is very special to me. She is a very creative and imaginative child and we try to spend lots of time together. We both read a lot. We finished BFG and then started reading Boy, Roald Dahl's autobiography. We were only part of the way through it when she went off to the Murree Hills with her grandparents. She's been away for over 3 weeks now. We will resume again when she comes back. She should be back before the end of this week. She's back but we have started reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. She's very sad about Hedwig.

I worked for AboutUs from May - August, 2007. I am a great advocate for anything to do with communities and to work with a group of people with this as their core value is wonderful.
