With more than 110,000 members and subscribers nationwide, the U.S. Concealed Carry Association, Inc. (USCCA) offers responsible firearms owners the latest information on equipping themselves and protecting their families. USCCA is led by founder Tim Schmidt, who emphasizes the safety and well being of his family as his primary reason for carrying a concealed weapon.

As a new father learning to defend his family, Tim Schmidt was highly influenced by Robert Boatman’s article “The Constitutional Right and Social Obligation to Carry a Gun.” He established the USCCA a decade ago, after failing to find any magazine or online resource that exclusively focused on concealed carry issues.

The USCCA is member-driven and maintains its integrity by not accepting gun company sponsors or advertising. Headquartered in West Bend, Wisconsin, the USCCA publishes Concealed Carry Magazine eight times each year. More than 60,000 USCCA members also take advantage of the Association’s insurance-backed Self Defense Shield protection. Top level USCCA platinum plus members enjoy a $500,000 occurrence coverage limit and $100,000 limit for criminal liability.
