We’d like to take this opportunity to introduce the Chicagoland Thunderbirds; as the Northern Illinois Chapter of the Vintage Thunderbird Club International – the VTCI, we’re proud to be the headquarters for Thunderbird lovers in the metropolitan Chicago area.
Yes, Chicagoland "Birds" really do get around – and we have more fun doing it; hosting a variety of events throughout the year. Monthly meetings are but one of the many fun and informative "get-togethers" on tap for our local species of "Bird" lovers. Take a quick look at our Calendar of Events and see what you could be enjoying as a member of the Chicagoland Thunderbirds. Vintage car shows at car dealers and shopping malls, picnics, theme parties, road rallies, overnight "road trips" with neighboring VTCI chapters and regional and international conventions are just a few of the many activities Chicagoland "Birds" enjoy on a regular basis.
Speaking of quick looks, upon joining the Chicagoland Thunderbirds, you’ll start receiving a copy of our award-winning monthly newsletter – the "Bird Word". The "Bird Word" features articles on current events in the world of Ford Motor Company, especially news about the 2001 T-Bird, as well as technical tips from years past, stories on club activities and promotions, newsclips from other chapters’ newsletters, and an occasional bit of "Bird-brained" humor.
