On the evening of Tuesday, April 24th a strong line of severe weather moved across the state. Tornadoes and damaging winds were reported from Denton County in north central Texas, to Maverick County at the Texas / Mexico border. Due to the devastating impact of a tornado in Eagle Pass, Maverick County, The American Red Cross, The Salvation Army, The Southern Baptist of Texas Convention and Adventist Community Services have deployed resources to assist in the response and recovery effort.
