Description
This loosely knit, nationwide organization, encourages hunters and meat processors to join forces in an effort to distribute game meat to the hungry. Since its inception in 1989, more than 1 million pounds of meat have been collected and distributed across the country.
Hunters participate in the program by donating game to participating meat processors. The hunter pays the standard processing fee and various food banks pick up and distribute the meat within days of its arrival.
The Hunters for the Hungry program has drawn tremendous praise from homeless shelters and other advocacy organizations across the U.S. because it provides them with access to highly nutritious, yet often unobtainable meat products.

Hey to you Ted and Family,
I have to admit, that for years I was not a fan of your crazy
rock n roll, arrows to the tent wall, blood dripping, damm the unbeilivers, way of introducing bow hunting to the public and fellow hunters. Now that I've watched your Spirit of The Wild show for the past five years or so I have nothing but praise for you and your encredible way of reaching out and educating others about the wonderful God given Right to bring food to the table if it be with a bow or gun.
I watched the show today where you explained why you stay home and hunt with the family when your not touring with your band.God bless you for the commitment to your family.
I've been a bow hunter for thirty four years now and it's just as much of a thrill now as it was when I started.
