Sunshine has been surfing for over 15 years now and knows without it she would be lost. She was a member of the United States Amateur Surf Team from 1999-2001. Wanting to help all the surfer girls out their get together and share the essence of surfing is one of the key reasons Sunshine was driven to start Surf Life For Women. Sunshine attended Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, majoring in Business Administration.
For the past 25 years Bryan Dickerson has been surfing and absorbing way-to-much information about it. On a good day he can recite whole pages from Bank Wright’s “Surfing California.” Some days however, typically after several hours in the water, subtleties like the difference between concave and reverse vee get fuzzy. A culture junkie, he’s hosted radio shows on movie soundtracks and processed reams of entertainment press releases as editor for the Arts section of his college paper. Heaven is a room with a vinyl copy of “Barbarella,” a Mark Richards twin fin, and anything written by Denis Johnson. He lives in Morro Bay with partner Megan and their twins Beatrice and Isaac.
