Stoco Software Design, LLC was founded in 1998 by John Stone as a venture into a new approach to delivering high value software and services to a demanding audiance. The first product was designed to reduce the pain associated with updating phone numbers within Microsoft Outlook®. With several states splitting area code prefixes, people with hundreds of contacts faced several lost hours updating contact lists. AreaCode Rx could update hundreds of contacts in minutes.
Soon After, Stoco Software Design partnered with FSBO-Home.com to automate ad placement. Until the partership, ads would take as long as 24 hours to appear on the web site after being ordered. This was due to the 4 to 8 hour time it took to manually create the ads. Once the custom ad software was in place, customers could place their ads personally in minutes. The new system even allowed for location specific advertising to be placed on each ad. Stoco Software Design maintains the partnership with FSBO-Home.com to this day.
In 2001, Stoco Software Design, LLC created it's own online presence with Stoco.net. The purpose of this web site was to offer an outlet for our software, a productized version of the real estate listing system, as well as discount web hosting. In the beginning, we were hosting resellers for a small outfit located in the midwest.
