SplashCast Inc. shut down on September 1, 2009, after five years in business, and after raising $4 million from investors.
The company's founder and CEO, Michael Berkley, explained on the SplashCast blog that though the company was bringing in revenue, it was unable to raise enough new funding to continue operations. The company had 11 employees at the time it shut down.
