Sheri Divers (Akeera), Website Editor & Publisher: Let me tell you a little bit about myself and how Spiritual Atlanta was conceived. I have been on the spiritual path for a couple of years now. I have come to realize in the past few years that I am a healer. I was born to do the Spiritual Atlanta project. I am one who receives a great deal of satisfaction when I help connect seekers to higher spiritual knowledge. For as I teach, I learn - and greater meaning is added to my life as I gain more insight into the spiritual universe. Being a human plug to spiritual knowledge is the source of my passion for life. Yet, I was not always aware of this fact. My background is in university teaching. I was a literature professor for several years and fully intended to make that my life profession. Interestingly enough, I have always been drawn to spiritual literature that was laden with wisdom and truisms upon which to build one's life. Eventually I realized that my passion to teach in a traditional classroom had dwindled significantly. On the other hand, the desire to point inquisitive parties further down the spiritual path burned deep within me. What I needed was a different kind of teaching environment.
For me, Spiritual Atlanta fulfills this desire. It provides an environment in which I can assist people in plugging into greater spiritual knowledge and make the world a better place. Pardon my use of the “making the world a better place” cliché, but it stills rings true for me so I couldn’t resist using it. In short, we can do more to richly enhance our sense of community. It is time for everyone in the Atlanta interfaith groups to become one through the Divine Nexus that is Spiritual Atlanta.com.
