Description

Shuman is a member of the product management team at Google. He previously held strategy consulting roles with IBM and McKinsey & Co., advising Fortune 100 corporations on media and entertainment, technology, and new ventures. He was also co-founder and CEO of Anadas, a new media software design firm. He began his career as a software engineer at Groupware, where he created the first collaborative graphic design application.

Shuman is co-author of CGI Programming Unleashed, an Amazon Editor's Choice book. His work on digital distribution has been taught at universities around the world and he is a frequent speaker on high tech strategy. He has been quoted in numerous publications such as The New York Times, Wired, and The Wall Street Journal.

Shuman holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Western Ontario. He was a Canada Merit Scholarship Foundation award recipient, as one of the top fifteen students in the nation. He is also a former North American Public Speaking Champion and has a brown belt in Goju-Ryu Karate. He lives with his wife in the San Francisco Bay Area.
