The Catholic Sentinel is the oldest Catholic newspaper on the West Coast. It was established in 1870. The Catholic Sentinel (ISSN 016-2102) is published weekly on Wednesday by Oregon Catholic Press, 5536 N. E. Hassalo Street Portland, Oregon 97213-3638. The Sentinel is the official newspaper of the Archdiocese of Portland and the Diocese of Baker.
