6/10/06 The Heuvelton Bulldogs win over Solomon Schechter by the score of 2-1 in the NYS Class D semifinals. Solomon Schechter scored their only run in the top of the 3rd inning. Heuvelton scored the final 2 runs of the game, one coming in the 4th inning and one in the 5th inning. Freshman Sean Kelly delivered the game-winning hit in the bottom of the 5th inning scoring Eric Hunt to put the Bulldogs up for good. Heuvelton will play Avoca later today for the NYS Class D Title.

6/10/06 Avoca wins over the Heuvelton Bulldogs by the score of 4-3 in the New York State Class D Championship game. Five of the games seven total runs came in the first inning. Heuvelton scored 2 runs in the top of the 1st inning on a Trevor Johnson single and an Eric Hunt sacrifice fly. Avoca would answer the Bulldogs 2 runs with 3 of their own in the bottom of the first inning. Heuvelton would tie the score at 3 in the top of the 4th inning, but it did not last long. Avoca scored 1 run in the bottom of the inning to put them ahead for good and claim the NYS Title. Ronald Sellers added 1 hit for Heuvelton.

6/10/06 The Williamsville South Billies win over the Massena Red Raiders by the score of 3-0 in the New York State Class A semifinals. Frank Pieri led the Billies on the mound tossing a no-hitter against Massena. Williamsville South scored their runs in the top of the 5th and 6th innings of the game. They scored 2 runs in the 5th inning and 1 run in the 6th inning. Eric Hawes pitched a solid game for Massena. He allowed just 2 hits in the first 4 innings of the game.
