Native American art and fine art collector shares knowledge and experience

SavvyCollector.com was created by expert collector and appraiser Corinne Cain. She started her fine-art appraisal career in 1975 as an intern under the direction of Donald Vogel of Valley House Gallery in Dallas, Texas. By May 1980, she had formed Corinne Cain & Associates, incorporating in May, 1982 as Corinne Cain Ltd., a nationally-recognized firm that appraises and consults on fine art and Native American art.

Ms. Cain holds a BFA in painting and drawing, an MFA in fine arts administration and an MBA in finance. She has studied fine art extensively in museums throughout Great Britain, central and eastern Europe.

Her art appraisal career spans more than 30 years, and Ms. Cain has been selling fine art and Native American art to clients around the world over the past 10 years.

Ms. Cain has been appointed to prestigious positions by her peers, and won many recognitions:

Accredited Senior Member - American Society of Appraisers in fine arts (1982)and Native American arts (1987)
Authored appraising examination for Native American art in 1987, rewriting it with Maryann L'Heureux in 1993.
Member of National ASA Personal Property Committee from June 1993 to June 1996.
Member of a team crafting fine arts exams for the American Society of Appraisers in 1999.
Original director of Gallery 10 Inc. of Scottsdale, Arizona. The gallery was known for museum-quality Native American art.
