My midwifery adventure started many years ago when I met a woman who had delivered her baby at home. She looked so incredibly well that I badgered her for more information. She later became my teacher/mentor. In over 20 years, I have not found any experience that hasn't deepened my love for midwifery. The women, the babies, the families...are nothing short of miracles. And what an honor and privilege I have to be present and a part of such a divine experience. If I ever loose that love and awe of birth I will retire!
I have been married to the same incredibly wonderful man since 1971. He, not only supports me, but, he helps me in my business. He helps with answering inquiry type calls, taxes (for this I am the most grateful), etc.
We have four grown children and four delightful grandchildren. My husband and I are actively involved with our church. My relationship with God is the MOST important one in my life. I don't preach to my clients but I certainly pray for each one.
