The Center for Public Integrity is a nonprofit organization dedicated to producing original, responsible investigative journalism on issues of public concern. The Center is non-partisan and non-advocacy. We are committed to transparent and comprehensive reporting both in the United States and around the world.

The Center is currently headed by acting Executive Director Wendell Rawls Jr., an award-winning investigative reporter and editor. Rawls also heads the Center's International Consortium of Investigative Journalists. In a career that spans more than 35 years in journalism and media, Rawls has won a Pulitzer Prize for investigative reporting, the National Headliner Award for Outstanding Public Service, the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Journalism Award Grand Prize, the Heywood Broun Journalism Award and several other awards. While he was an editor in Atlanta, his staff produced a Pulitzer Prize winner and four additional Pulitzer finalists in two years.
