Title
The Prometheus Institute
Description
Prometheus was the Greek god who gave mankind the gift of fire and other knowledge after stealing it from Zeus and the other ruling gods. For his humanitarian efforts, he was chained by Zeus to a rock on which an eagle would torture him daily.
Prometheus, in popular culture, is generally considered an iconoclastic but innovative icon. The word "promethean" means "boldly creative or defiantly original in behavior or actions."
Likewise, the Prometheus Institute delivers its service to the people in boldly creative and defiantly original ways, regardless of its unpopularity in the minds of some of those in power.
