How you can help report spam sites:
- Use your own judgement to determine if the site is a {{PossibleSpamSite}}, {{PossibleFraudSite}}, {{MalwareSite}}. It is entirely possible for a site to qualify as more than one of these.
- Edit the DomainPage of the site you're reporting and insert the appropriate tags below the "Domain Page" template but above the title. This is to ensure that the tag is aligned properly with the rest of the page. The tag will automatically link back to SiteAdvisor.
- If you feel you have some comments to add, please create a Community Reviews heading in the domain page and add whatever information you feel is relevant (please don't quote entire e-mails with headers). Please make sure to sign your post when you're finished so that the community knows who posted the review. Some help on how to add reviews can be found at Community Reviews Guidelines and CommunityReviewsFormatting. Please try to keep your review constructive and not negatively worded.
- If a site you're reporting is exactly like another spam site you know of, it's suggested to redirect one to the other. I'll give an example: EliteHerbals.com. Lots of domains are complete duplicates of this site, and are all spam-vertised in exactly the same way so my practise is to redirect them all (no need to have needless duplicates).
- If you have any other questions about the process, please post them here under the Questions heading.
Things to watch out for
- Please do not alter the contents of DomainPages, by changing words in the title or description and replace them with "spammer", etc. This is not constructive and in fact, it's defined as vandalism.
- Please do not remove the entire contents of DomainPages and replace them solely with the tag. That is also unconstructive.
