At AboutUs we see ourselves as wiki ambassadors. Our values help make up a code of conduct for participation in building the site. Many of the values are similar to other wiki sites, but some are uniquely our own. Our values include assume good faith, transparency, self organization, promoting a do-ocracy, making constructive edits, using real names, building the commons, collaboration, and breaking down barriers to technological fluency.

Wikis are vibrant, fluid spaces that foster a distinct culture of Transparency. AboutUs strives to create a dynamic community of self-organizing members building the Commons by contributing ConstructiveEdits, as opposed to UnconstructiveEdits. Here you’ll find our policies on making Reviews and how to start a Discussion, as well as our InternalLinkingGuide, especially helpful in recognizing and mitigating Spam.
