Pambazuka News (Pambazuka means arise or awaken in Kiswahili) is a tool for progressive social change in Africa. Pambazuka News is produced by Fahamu, an organisation that uses information and communication technologies to serve the needs of organisations and social movements that aspire to progressive social change.
Fahamu has been selected by Tech Museum of Innovation to receive a Tech Museum Award from a field of 301 candidates, representing 64 countries. These represent the "best of the best technologists whose innovations benefit humanity". Fahamu is one of five Tech Laureates in the Education category.
AU MONITOR
This site has been established by Fahamu to provide regular feedback to African civil society organisations on what is happening with the African Union. In the immediate period we'll be uploading regular news from the summit in Khartoum from 18 January 2006 onwards.
