What is Old Skool Games?
Old Skool Games is a project dedicated to reviewing games from classic video game systems. The site was originally created as a personal project, but has since grown, and was made into a PDF distrubted magazine. Old Skool Games aims to become a repository for the thoughts of people who grew up during the era of systems like the Nintendo NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, Atari consoles, Apple PC's and many more retro gaming platforms that would take all day to list. Old Skool Games is distributed in electronic form, as a magazine-style PDF file. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader 7 or better to view the magazine.
There are plenty of sites out there today who specialize in the latest and greatest, and there are also other fan sites out there dedicated to old favorites, but Old Skool Games aims to provide a written and graphical record of what games used to be like before things such as 3D processors and broadband internet. Old games (and gamers alike) die hard, and so does our passion for them. We hope you enjoy the many reviews that will be collected here over what we hope, are many years to come.
