Title

NUMISMATICS INTERNATIONAL

Description

Numismatics International was formed in Dallas, Texas in July, 1964 and ranges between 400 and 800 members world-wide. In 1973, Numismatics International became one of the few numismatic organizations which has received a tax-exempt status from the United States Internal Revenue Service as an educational non-profit organization. This tax-exempt status feature furthers the purpose of Numismatics International as members' donations are now tax deductible.

Numismatics International is the largest and most active numismatic organization in the world which excludes the sale, trade, discussion or display of coins and currency of the United States of America. The basis for this exclusion is to avoid being dominated by domestic numismatics. It invites and welcomes into membership all worthy persons who have an interest in numismatics and who subscribe to the purposes of this organization.

OBJECTIVES - The objectives are to encourage and promote the science of numismatics by specializing in areas and nations other than the United States of America; to cultivate fraternal relations among collectors and numismatic students; to encourage and assist new collectors; to foster the interest of youth in numismatics; to stimulate and advance affiliations among collectors and kindred organizations; to acquire, share, and disseminate numismatic nowledge.
