The site is produced and hosted by WKRN-TV, but the author is Nashville native and long-time blogger, Brittney Gilbert. Working inside the News2 newsroom, Brittney tracks numerous sources throughout the work day, including blogs, daily publications, wire services and News2 reporters and photographers. "While Nashville is Talking has only been in operation since April, 2005, I have been blogging since 1999. I have a personal site where I curse too much and make obscure "Twin Peaks" references and talk about things and people that happen to me at the grocery store. I was a waitress for ten years before landing this sweet gig. Waiting tables was an endless wealth of material for my personal site, but I was more than willing to give it up when the time came. A decade is a long time to be in the restaurant trenches.
