About the Mile Split Network
The Mile Split Network is a family of geographical niche web sites covering the sports of cross country, indoor track & field, outdoor track & field, and road racing. The network operates through a powerful shared relational database.
Our mission is to work from the local level outward, rather than the other way around. We seek to expand our family of sites to include other geographical-niche sites of common mission and that have passionate individuals behind them, in order to increase our coverage and the power our database.
Currently we cover 8/50 states (16%) and look to increase that number to at least 10 (20%) by mid-2004.
