lisamcmillan.com is the online portal to the soul of Lisa McMillan, web developer, teacher, designer, geek and gadget junkie. This site has been in the making for what feels like forever. Every year I told my web design students that I would create an online space for myself along-side them and each year I was intimidated by their genius. This year I refused to let that happen.
A cobbler’s child’s shoe.
This site quickly became the proverbial ‘cobbler’s child’s shoe’, but the site needed building. Without one’s own site, a teacher loses credibility with her students. I couldn’t let that happen. And it begins.
A promise to give back.
Once I had a goal things started coming together: This site promises to inform it’s audience of all things web, gadget, computer, and design related. Nothing I know is an original thought. My abilities have come to me by way of the enormous genius of others. In my experience the teacher always learns more than the student. Have a look at my students links if you don’t believe me. They taught me everything I know.
