Allow me to introduce myself, I am a 26-year old woman. My name is Linnea. I haven’t done a whole lot of dating recently because I just haven’t found anyone that I’m really interested in. I’m very easy going and like to go out and meet people. I always have something to do, so I try not to waste my time with men that don’t interest me, but since I find most people interesting that usually isn’t a problem. I enjoy the warm weather and any outdoor activities associated with it, but I do not enjoy the winter. I love to travel (but really who doesn’t), I love a good book but it is not often that I sit down long enough to get into one, I read any and every magazine I can get my hands on, I enjoy watching Sex and the City reruns and Will & Grace, and crime scene dramas seem to be my newest love. Alone time is very important to me, not a lot of it, but just ten minutes here and there to just focus on myself. I am very grounded, I am confident, I am not overly opinionated but I stand up for what I believe in. My friends spend time with me to have a good laugh, great conversations, and just to relax and feel appreciated. I see the good in everybody and I am very loyal and understanding. I love to learn from people, I feel that if a person can’t teach you something and you teach them in return, that is an encounter wasted.
I am looking to meet someone that can hold a conversation and will at least pretend to find my jokes amusing. A sense of humor is an obvious must, as is the capacity to hold a conversation. I am also looking for someone who cares about his appearance, but not obsessively. Cheaters need not apply, I’ve dealt with my share of them already. I have had a “type” in the past, but it clearly did not work for me, right now I’m willing to meet anyone and see if we hit it off. I’m hoping to meet some great people, find some good friends, and possibly meet the man of my dreams.
My recent decision to proactively start dating again is very different than my usual approach. I am a very happy single person with great family and friends, and work that I love. This is an experiment to see if I can find someone by keeping positive and staying open-minded. I have a membership to match.com, as well as an ad on Yahoo personals, I am planning on attending speed dating events at different locations, and possibly a singles dance here and there. I am really willing to try anything and meet anyone. Age does not matter too much, as long as you are a mature individual, I will not baby-sit and I will not try to change anyone.
