About JGraph
JGraph began as the diploma thesis of Gaudenz Alder at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich. Started in 2000, JGraph enjoyed rapid success as the most popular open source Java graph library available. Thanks to its strict adherence to Swing design and a large community following, JGraph matured into a professional-grade offering with a large number of applications, both open source and commercial, choosing JGraph as part of their critical applications.
JGraph Ltd is a privately owned company and was founded in the U.K. in 2000, founded by David Benson. It provides the resourcing for the development effort behind the JGraph project, as well as quality assurance and marketing. JGraph Ltd provides product warranty, training and consultancy and support contracts for commercial customers. Gaudenz remains as Technical Director of JGraph, alongside David working as Commercial Director.
