InCharge Debt Solutions was established as a Nevada nonprofit credit counseling organization in 1997. In 2000 the corporate headquarters was moved to Orlando, Florida.
InCharge Education Foundation, Inc. was established in 2003 as supporting organization to InCharge Debt Solutions. InCharge Education Foundation, Inc. provides consumer financial education and other services to InCharge Debt Solutions and to consumers nationwide.
InCharge Debt Solutions, a nonprofit organization, offers free credit counseling services and money management education services throughout the United States. InCharge also sponsors personal finance workshops throughout the country held in response to corporate requests, and some in conjunction with organizations like Habitat for Humanity, Junior Achievement, academic institutions and others where the general public is invited. Additionally, the InCharge website, www.inCharge.org, includes a free personal finance course (sponsored by InCharge Education Foundation) called “Mind Your Finances,” a twelve-module class that covers topics such as understanding credit reports, credit terms and definitions, responsible use of credit, creating spending plans, goal setting, and other core financial skills.
