Hope for Another Day is an unregistered, non-profit educational website striving to bring forth stories one may have never known to public eyes. The site includes exclusive interviews and articles ranging from situations in the United States superpower to the life of the third world.

Update: After much discussion among the top producers of content for the noble website, it has been decided HopeForAnotherDay.org will not make a return. It was a great run, but it's gone. The original staff always will carry its mission with heart, but this form is gone.

As Google has stated in the past, somewhere in the development of the internet we forgot to acknowledge authors. Major contributers to this page and people who have helped are as lists, Nick Burrus, Vartan, Ted and Meagan.

About Us

Hope for Another Day is mainly run by a single person while another person primarily takes care of content control. Hope for Another Day is currently reviewing its current staff team. Anyone who works with the organization are volunteers with no obligation or pay.

The founder, Nick Burrus, was only seventeen years of age when this website was founded as a way to prove a point to some friends. What it was then has grown into a passion for the now eighteen year old. He currently claims to be sitting on new topics but does not plan to release them until another interview has been completed.

Hope for Another Day started out with topics/articles on a simple XHTML page. Now it has grown into a custom coded database by a loyal visitor with a new comment system added. The comment system, for reasons unknown, is rarely used by the hundreds of visitors.

Burrus can confirm via email with an attached screenshot how many members in the system there are or even his web stats. In these screenshots he does take into account privacy and will thus black out personal information and other items.

The website used to have a vBulletin forum donated by someone of the name Tyler. The forum was taken down as of its thousandth post (which the public can view) after the staff had a public meeting where it was felt that 'Hope for Another Day' did not need a message board.

The majority of the graphics Hope for Another Day uses were actually designed by a single person, VanillaOrchids from SoCal. In the past Ellen Mostofi and Becca have been major contributers. HFAD's Copyright Page will hold more information about the graphic work.

In late 2007 the graphics of the website took a sudden change. Just overnight they changed from their historical/dull color themes to a new lively brown theme with the feature being children. Many believe this to be a wise move as the images of children are more striking to the human emotions than adult images would be. This fact is, however, highly debatable and is therefore left as a matter of personal opinion.

There was a Latin saying at the bottom of official 'Hope Another For Another Day' emails used orignially in a Dan Brown work. The phrase reads: "Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?" According to QuickLatin, a Latin translating program, the quote reads in English as: "Who will guard the guardians?" Although it is a very good question, this phrase is no longer used. The only public e-mail for 'Hope for Another Day' is .

On Friday 16 November, 2007 AboutUs has became the official About/Who We Are link/section of HopeForAnotherDay.org. Proof of this exists on the website where the common about page used to be now the URL changed to link to the AboutUs page.

Late 2007 and early 2008 HopeForAnotherDay.org went offline. They tried to set up their account with ASmallOrange.com again, but there were billing issues. Because they were left unresolved after a few weeks HopeForAnotherDay.org is backonline with an older host, ErrorHost.com.

  • I love how you've styled your page to match your site... Kudos on a great site, too! I would like to see this page shrink a bit, though... brief descriptions that encourage further reading on your site. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by WillyP (talkcontribs) .
