Hoosier Review: The Intelligent Alternative
Description
The Hoosier Review is your conservative alternative to the Indiana Daily Student for news and commentary about campus, local, State, national, and international issues. Combining the power of internet publishing with conservative punditry, Hoosier Review is Indiana University’s premier site for political news and opinion. Updated continuously 24-hours-a-day, HR is a must-read for political junkies, journalists and involved students because it offers immediate coverage and superior analysis of issues everyone is talking about.
For over a year, Hoosier Review was multipartisan, allowing viewpoints from all corners of the political spectra. That all of this took place on the same webpage, however, was confusing and unpopular among readers. In order sort this out, left-leaning pundits were removed to the Ivory Tower, which is now HR’s liberal sister site.
Hoosier Review was started in 1997 by three IU College Republicans: Scott Tibbs, Eric Seymour, and Sean Frick. The old archives can be found here. HR went into a very long hiatus before it was revived by Josh Claybourn and Paul Musgrave in 2002 with a grant from the Leadership Institute.
