District At A Glance
The Glendale Union High School District is comprised of nine high schools, grades 9-12, serving portions of the cities of Phoenix and Glendale, Arizona. This 60-square mile urban distict has approximately 350,000 constituents in the Phoenix metropolitan area. The average number of students enrolled is 14,000. All schools are accredited by the Arizona Department of Education and the North Central Association of Schools and Colleges (NCA).
Metrocenter Academy is an alternative school for students with at least 10 high school credits who are between the ages of 17 and 21 who wish to return to school to obtain their high school diploma.
The Glendale Union High School District adheres to the philosophy that all students can learn. We maintain quality and equity in teaching and learning. While it make take come students longer to reach their goals, we set high standards and expectations for achievement (quality) and require these high standards to be met by all students (equity).
