Description
Retired Captain Paul Beckingham is a 24-year veteran of the Toronto Fire Services (Old North York). He has been there through them all - Big and small, and wishes to share with you some of the "HEAT" of days gone by with this special series of Limited Reproductions now being offered for sale. The originals to these fire paintings were created in oils on canvas. Paul's art talents came to fruition during his early days in the Royal Canadian Navy. The focus in these days was on seascapes and then of course FIREFIGHTING during his career on the fire department.
Paul's work has been featured on City TV Toronto in regards to his "Tribute portrait to the Brothers and Sisters of the F.D.N.Y Also several pieces of Paul's work have been donated to different charitble organizations and have done well in raising funds through raffle and auctions. (Muscular Dystrophy Assocition, TOMA Burn Foundation for KIDS, Children's Aid Society Etc.) He now enjoys life in his country retreat near Holland Centre, located just South of Owen Sound, Ontario Canada. He also paints landscapes and farm scenes due to his connection with the country and lands that are so much a part of him. Beckingham's spare time is dedicated to his artwork, writing, photography, and of course, the nature that surrounds him.
