The bank that would eventually become Fidelity opened for business in Fuquay Springs, North Carolina in 1909. For the first six years a single associate handled all the bank’s business with the community. Eugene Howard knew all his customers by name and set the precedent of doing business the right way: with honesty, integrity and a passion for service.
Though Fuquay Springs is now Fuquay-Varina, and we have grown to more than 60 locations throughout North Carolina and Virginia, the way we approach our business is firmly rooted in our small town origins. We still know our customers by name, and we still base our business decisions around doing the right thing for them.
The unique character of Fidelity Bank was created and has been nurtured over the years through conscious effort. Leadership that places a premium on relationships, trust, and fiscal responsibility has been in place from the very beginning, and is still in place today.
