I've received a few questions about this site and some of the hardware involved and I thought I might as well post some information here.
Basically it started as a place to put trip reports, which I had been writing anyway, and also to show some pictures to family members. It got picked up by the search engines, and I've de-emphasized the family stuff, focusing on travel and a certain amount of airshow and nature photography. As time has progressed it's grown. It's been fun.
Unfortunately the information on the camera hardware has gotten really out of date. Suffice for now to say that I shoot Canon (20D lately), and primarily use a 28-135 zoom and a 100-400 zoom. Everything since March 2003 is digital and is linked to from the main page. Everything before that was scanned from prints and has been moved to an archive page. We've been traveling largely within the US/Canada for the last few years (as opposed to Europe) so you'll find somewhat different content in those two sections.
