In May of 2000, the Company started out as "Abida" but eventually received a new name with the help of various clients. While Founder Rob Rohena envisioned a huge need for grant writing services, the market demands called for demographical data, industry information, and global marketing research. After, taking on a few clients within these various fields the name changed to Data & Information Researchers to represent its new niche.

Rob soon found he was not alone in wanting to provide this type of service. Dun & Bradstreet (Hoover's), Information USA, and several other independent agencies were leading the way. Despite the discovery, Rob felt his company would be different because it was the only one at the time to be Christ-Based. Before long, word spread from friends to what has became a significant, loyal audience throughout a closely-knit research community.

Due to the enthusiastic reception Data & Information Researchers, Inc. has started receiving, the founder knew he had a potentially large business on his hands. In September of 2004, the Rob incorporated the business and met with dozens of venture capitalists. At the time none seem interested. The business sat idle for two years. Then, Rob eventually came across Guru.com, the well-regarded firm who connects potential employers with potential professional solution providers. Realizing the new company had the potential to grow quickly, Rob started to shop for a management team. While all the member of staff are currently independent of DIR, Inc. all property rights belong to DIR, Inc and/or its clients depending on initial project argeements and disclosures.

Today, Data & Information Researchers, Inc. is a leading marketing and business planning company that offers a comprehensive network of services to business in over 7 countries. The company's global networks includes United Kindgom, Spain South Africa, Japan, Mexico, Australia, Canada and the United States.

By 2010, Data & Information Researchers, Inc. hopes to make an Initial Public Offering.
