Launched on the 15th of October 2001, Design-Ireland.net is the home site of John Collins, a freelance web designer and consultant from Dublin, Ireland. The purpose of this site is to share information with the greater Internet community while developing a broader understanding of the usability issues of advanced interface design.
Design: this section deals with web design in depth, covering mainly front-end standards-compatible technologies such as DHTML, CSS, JavaScript and the DOM. This section will be expanded in the future to include back-end technologies such as Perl, PHP and MySQL.
Imagery: the imagery section deals mainly with images for web publication, as well as coded effects that can be applied to such images. As well as further examples of photography based imagery, this section will also include examples of SVG and other emerging technologies in the near future.
