Title

The City and County of Denver

Description

This quaint park, located between South Vine and York Streets and East Harvard and Vassar Avenues, was named in 1962 after Saco Rienk DeBoer, an award-winning and prolific landscape architect who relocated to Denver from the Netherlands. While employed by or consulting for the city between 1910 and 1958, DeBoer contributed plans for numerous projects, including Speer Boulevard, Seventh Avenue Parkway, Denver Mountain Parks, the Botanic Gardens, and City Park’s 1953 Box Canyon waterfall, recently renovated by the Denver Urban Gardens, City Park Alliance, Garden Club of Denver, Denver Parks and Recreation and the Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado.
