Description
Day Dream Graphics also known as DDG for short was set up somewhere in March 2001. Before DDG, this site was known as Sailor Moon Free Web Graphics and I had various free graphics on Sailor Moon for a couple of years before I decided to buy a domain and get proper hosting for the site.
After working with sailormoon and anime genre, I decided why not have non-anime graphics, afterall anime may not appeal to everybody. DDG grew from an anime-based graphics site into the general design templates site today. After becoming a good provider of graphics, I thought it was time to introduce tutorials. People were asking me how to make the graphics anyway, so I figured it's a good time to introduce a tutorial section.The tutorial section gradually evolved to include PHP, Photoshop, CSS and other sections.
Meantime, DDG continues to grow at a tremendous rate. On several occasions, I ran into problems with hosting because of the rate of bandwidth consumption. So I moved DDG several times, each time it outgrew the initial hosting plan. In the end, I decided to be proactive. A membership system was introduced somewhere in 2003 to limit the amount of downloads per month for each member to conserve the bandwidth consumption. The graphics section was also split onto several sponsors who hosted a part of the section for DDG.
