Description
The CMAA was formed in 1992 to represent and promote all aspects of the Australian country music industry. With a growing membership, fast approaching the 1,000 mark the CMAA has developed a wide range of activities, including organisation, promotion and staging of the CMAA Country Music Awards of Australia, Maton Golden Guitar New Talent showcase, Hats Off To Country Festival main concert, CMAA Australian Country Music Achiever Awards, establishment of the CMAA Australian College of Country Music and an ongoing programme of industry research.
To organise and stage activities which will contribute to the maintenance and growth of the Australian country music industry in this country and abroad
To promote knowledge of, interest in, and respect for, the heritage of Australian country music and the people who create and perform it
