Description

The Contour Enthusiasts Group started in November 1996 (although we didn't call it back then) on the Contour-L mailing list. The group has grown in large numbers since, and the contour.org domain was acquired in August 1997. The first contour.org web presence appeared just before the end of 1997. Forums were added in June 2000, which led to traffic tripling in one year.

This version of the site went live in August 2001, on a new server housed by CEG member Matt Marshall. Money for the server and software was entirely obtained by generous donations from other members.

In August 2002, the server moved to Andy Watson's place, where it is now hosted on a 1.1Mb SDSL line. Again, donations were graciously given by members to keep the site alive. Enough was raised to support the site for almost 2 years. Thanks everyone!
