Today I am reviewing the Googlepack now being offered by Google as a free download. Googlepack is full of tons of great software, all of which can be very helpful to any computer user. I will do my best not to ramble on as I talk to you about a few of my favorites. First let me list all the software included in this package:
Google Earth, Google Desktop, Picasa (Photo Utility), Google Toolbar, GP Screensaver, Firefox, Ad-Aware SE, Norton Antivirus, Adobe Reader, Google Talk, Google Video Player, Real Player, Gallery Player.
Now for my must have favorites: First, Firefox is the only way to surf the web. If you are still using internet explorer you are really leaving your computer open to some scary stuff. The internet is a nasty place do yourself a favor and use the web browser the nerds use…take my word for it. Second, Google desktop is an awesome program. It allows you to find anything on your computer almost immediately and has lots of cool features like reading your gmail offline. Third, would have to be the pair of included security software. Norton antivirus and Adaware have both set the standard in their respective security markets.
