Playing a mix of 80s Retro, Pop and Rock, Club 977 is an Internet radio station that everyone can enjoy, young and old, at work and at home. The studio of Club 977 is a state-of-the-art digital facility. The on-air studio is completely digital and paperless from the source to the end user. Club 977 uses a separate 32-track multi-editing room for production and other non-related Internet projects as well. The entire broadcast operation and corporate headquarters is based in Minneapolis, MN where we stream our audio to a bank of SHOUTcast and WMA servers located in Chicago and Virginia over dedicated fiber links. Club 977 is completely supported by your generous donations and advertising sponsorships.
Club 977 got it's name from a pirate radio station that broadcasted at 97.7 FM in Florida for a few years and then turned legit and went to an Internet only format which is where we are today.
The station claim to fame isn't the size of its playlist but the quality of it. We took the very best music the 80s offered and created the station you hear now. Combing through chart after chart until just the right mix was created.
