Lotus Notes / Lotus Domino is a multi-faceted platform. It is Groupware, a mail client, a database, a web server. It has its own high level @Formula language as well as a supporting script language, LotusScript, JavaScript and Java. Supporting the MVC (Model, Control, View) methodology its data may be accessed by CORBA or LDAP and it can use external data using OLE or native hooks into IBM DB2.

There is a thriving business partner community, training and conference circuit. The premier event each year is LotusSphere in Orlando,FL each January.
