Description
Built and open for trade since 1968, the picturesque Catamaran Hotel was owned and managed by Hugh and Janet Bailey. Both had travelled extensively and Janet had done a stint in catering and Hotel Management at Brown University Rhode Island. She was a marvellous cook and amicable host, and supervised every phase of the hotel operation. Hugh – whose first love was and still us the seas, at the age of 19 was the youngest charter yacht captain in the area. He was a founder member of Antigua Sailing Week and still takes part to this day, and was happy to teach any interested participants how to sail.
Brought up and living on the property all of her life, daughter Feona has now taken over at the helm – and has invested heavily in time, energy and money to bring the hotel up to the excellent standard that it is today. She is passionate about Antigua, and her customers - The two great loves of her life. Her passion, energy and enthusiasm are infectious – you will rarely catch Feona without her engaging smile – and it has rubbed off on her team too.
