The Capital Soccer Association began in 1980 by Eric McMasters, then Chairman of the YMCA Youth Sports Committee, who had the vision to provide a more advanced soccer program for players that was available at that time. Capital Soccer became a member of the United States Youth Soccer Association and United States Soccer Federation and embraced their philosophy that each player has the right to have the opportunity at the level of their ability and desire.
